Bruce I. Jacobs is Principal, Co-Chief Investment Officer and Co-Director of Research at Jacobs Levy Equity Management, which he cofounded in 1986. Jacobs Levy is a leading provider of quantitative equity strategies for institutional clients globally. Dr. Jacobs has written numerous journal articles and several books on equity management and financial crises and has received prestigious industry awards, including several Graham and Dodd Awards. He currently serves on the boards of several leading journals. He was a featured contributor to How I Became a Quant: Insights from 25 of Wall Street’s Elite. He is Chair of the Advisory Board of the Jacobs Levy Equity Management Center for Quantitative Financial Research at the Wharton School, and helped create the Quantitative Finance major at the Wharton School by establishing the Dr. Bruce I. Jacobs Professorship in Quantitative Finance and the Dr. Bruce I. Jacobs Scholars in Quantitative Finance. He holds an M.S. in Operations Research and Computer Science from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and a Ph.D. in Finance from the Wharton School and was formerly on the Finance faculty.

 

Lev Dynkin is the founder and Global Head of the Quantitative Portfolio Strategy (QPS) Group at Barclays Research. Dynkin and the QPS group joined Barclays in 2008 from Lehman Brothers, where the group had been a part of Fixed Income Research since 1987. Dynkin began his career as a research scientist in the area of theoretical and mathematical physics after obtaining his PhD in physics from the University of St. Petersburg, Russia. He is a member of the editorial advisory boards of the Journal of Portfolio Management and Journal of Fixed Income. Dynkin has co-authored with his colleagues several books on quantitative portfolio management.

 

Ross Garon is Global Head of Quantitative Strategies at Millenium Management and is responsible for all aspects of that business, including managing portfolio managers, hiring and growing new teams, managing risk and capital allocation, and developing resources for investment professionals. Prior to joining Millennium in 2020, Ross spent over 10 years at Point72 and its predecessor, SAC Capital, as the head of Cubist Systematic Strategies and Managing Director of Quantitative Strategies. Ross also served as co-founder and partner at Tykhe Capital and began his career at D.E. Shaw.

 

Michele Glatter directs the Point72 Academy Data Science Program, a new track of Point72’s Academy that recruits and transforms early career professionals into Long/Short Equity Data Scientists to be placed on investing teams. She joined the Firm in 2018, bringing more than 15 years of industry experience in quantitative research. Prior to Point72, Michele led data science and quantitative research at a real estate tech startup. Before that she worked as a quantitative researcher in algorithmic corporate bond market making for both KCG Holdings (formerly Knight Capital) and Citadel Securities. Michele began her career at Citadel as a quantitative researcher in the hedge fund’s portfolio construction group. She earned her B.A. with a double major in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Rochester, and an M.S. in Statistics from the University of Chicago.

 

Anand Iyer is a Portfolio Manager at WorldQuant, a quantitative investment firm with over 600 employees globally. Mr. Iyer oversees a team of portfolio managers & researchers to manage equity portfolios in emerging & developed markets globally. Prior to WorldQuant, Mr. Iyer was a portfolio manager at BlackRock’s Systematic Active Equity group, which was acquired as part of a merger with Barclays Global Investors where he was an equities & currencies trader. Prior to this, Mr. Iyer held senior management roles at Flextrade Systems Inc., a global fintech firm, where he was Co-head of FX & Futures. Mr. Iyer holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School as well as a BS & MS in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

 

Kamil Zarychto is the Deputy COO for Core Engineering at Citadel. In his previous role as the Head of Data Science and Analytics team at Global Equities, he led the work at the intersection of fundamental and quantitative investing for the largest of Citadel’s equities hedge funds. He started his career as an actuary and later spent several years with McKinsey and their data science and machine learning division, QuantumBlack. He holds a Master’s in Statistics from Warsaw School of Economics and MBA from Wharton (class of 2017).
